Description of Silver Sands (Barbados)

Silver Sands beach is the most known spot for kiting and windsurfing in Barbados. The beach is wide and made of coral white sand. Wind direction is normally East in the trade winds season. Nearby there are several places where to find accommodation and you cannot miss the 'Action' house owned by the local windsurf Champion De Action Man, Brian Talma, for a great lunch and chill out. The ocean water is crystal clear and the wind all year round (with the exception of the months from July to September) is pretty reliable. The spot is a wave spot, though waves aren't often huge, but they are long and very nice to ride.

Video on the Kite Spot

As explained in the description, on this spot you can find 'De Action' house of Brian Talma. He is a monument in modern watersports panorama and in the Beach Culture. If you come to kite here you can't miss the chance to meet him in person. Here's a video about his story.
