Description of Neretva (Croatia)
In the European summer, Neretva should be considered one of the top spots to reach out to.
The spot is located directly on the Neretva river mouth and is protected by the same river bank, which creates an extensive area of flat hips-deep water.
The beach isn't very big but large enough to launch your kite pretty comfortably, even if it can get somehow crowded, especially in June and August.
The wind is mainly due to the thermal effect during warm days of summer and is amplified by the Bernoulli effect created by the coastline and the islands in front. That grants a high percentage of rideable days during the high season.
Worth trying is kiting in the freshwater inside the river mouth where few kiters go, but where you can find mirror-like flat water.
