Description of Cabarete (Dominican Republic)

Cabarete is one of the most renowned kitesurfing hotspots globally, beckoning enthusiasts to go kiting to its shores. Once a tranquil fishing and farming hamlet, it has grown into fame owing to its diverse and sensational kitesurfing conditions. This village seamlessly blends the thrill of kitesurfing with Caribbean chill-out vibes and local music. Kite Beach emerges as the easiest and most accessible spot, attracting most of the riders, thanks to its small beach break, and offering easier access to the water compared to Bozo and Punta Goleta. Nevertheless, all spots offer ease of access and are equally inviting. Typically, the wind picks up from post-lunch hours until sunset, ensuring ample time for exhilarating sessions on the waves.
