Description of Lake Garda North (Italy)
The north of Lake Garda is one of the windiest kite spots in Europe in the summertime. Kiters from Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, and other northern European countries gather here in this season, due to the incredibly reliable thermal winds that form in the morning (Peler - Northwind, stronger and gustier) and in the afternoon (Ora - south wind, more gentle and stable). There are two main points to get out on the water directly from the lake pebble beaches, Campione and Navene, but probably the easiest and safest way to enjoy a nice session is to take advantage of a good lift service provided by the several local schools. If you are a beginner, that's the best way to enjoy your session without the burden of upwinding back to the small exit beaches.
