Description of Svencele (Lithuania)
The kite spot of Svencele is probably the most popular in Lithuania. It is located on the east coast of the Curonian Lagoon which is protected from the Baltic Sea waves by the Curonian Strip. This leads to great conditions for both practicing and learning Kitesurf: in fact, the water is practically flat and, close to the spot, it is hips level deep, There are few schools on the spot and they offer a good service. The windy season can go from March/April to October and the wind direction is mainly Nort East and South East, with an average of 60-70% of windy days throughout the season.
