Description of Boca Paila - Sian ka'an (Mexico)
Boca Piala is a secluded kitesurfing location in the Sian Ka'an Bio Reserve, situated between Tulum and Punta Allen. While access can be challenging, those who go kiting to this spot are rewarded with sessions in pristine, shallow turquoise waters. The area is typically uncrowded, offering a more private experience.
The spot's favorable conditions are due to the shallow bottom just beyond the river mouth. Like much of the Yucatan coast, Boca Piala features warm water temperatures. Winds tend to be moderate, so it's advisable to bring larger kites for optimal performance. The combination of these factors makes it an appealing destination for kiters seeking a unique experience in a natural setting.
