Description of Souiria Beach (Morocco)

The kitesurfing spot of Souiria Beach is very nice and often offers a stable and steady wind, especially in the summer season, both thanks to trade winds and the powerful thermal generated by the hot inland. The beach is wide and offers plenty of space to set up your kite. The spot can be a nice alternative to the popular Essaouira, with less crowd in the water and interesting kitesurfing conditions according to the tide.

What to do besides kitesurfing

Other than kitesurfing, the city of Souira Qdima is worth a visit. There are a lot of historical buildings in the vicinity, as 'Castelo Real', the Portuguese fortress built in the 15th century. Ten kilometers south of the town, there is the 17th century Ben Hamidouch Kasbah, with its glorious allure despite the ravages of time. It still contains several buildings including a mosque structure. There are restaurants and cafes and accommodations in town.
