Description of Oualidia Lagoon (Morocco)

If you want to escape the incoming hordes of kiters in the most renowned kite spots, Oualidia Lagoon can be one of the best destinations. Oualidia beach is a kind of lagoon that is created through an inlet of the sea with its tides. It is a great spot for kitesurfing because the wind is often stable and steady, especially in the winter season. The beach is large and sandy and offers plenty of safe space to set up the kite and launch. The flat water of the lagoon is the perfect field to boost your freestyle/wakestyle tricks.

Other info

You can enjoy picnics and eat seafood such as mussels and take a boat ride across the lake. Oualidia is known as the "oyster capital of Morocco", with freshly harvested clams sold on shacks at the beachfront. Not much of a nightlife scene here, but a nice laid-back village that breathes the tidal changes of the ocean.
