Description of Los Lances North Beach, Tarifa (Spain)

It is the quintessential kite school area and probably the most famous. Although students mix with independent practitioners, the Lances Norte beach is very extensive and the areas for each one, kitesurfers and bathers, are duly delimited during the seasonal months (June to September).
In fact, Los Lances is one of the only two beaches open to kitesurfing during summer months, together with Playa Valdevaqueros.

It works with both Poniente and Levante winds. In the hot season (spring-summer) on days from the west, thermal winds usually enter and, although the forecast is not good, most of the days are saved and they are navigable with about 15 knots of the southwest wind.

With an easterly wind, we recommend sailing towards the Jara River area, where the wind channels better and enters more constantly.

It has a very extensive parking lot and has beach bars and a very good atmosphere.
