Description of Playa Costa Cabana (Spain)

Playa Costa Cabana is a popular kiteboarding spot in the area known for its optimal conditions for the Levante wind. The best time to find excellent conditions is spring and summer. With its wide beach pebble and a designated channel for launching, kiteboarders can enjoy a safe and spacious area to set up the kites and launch them. Here it is possible to go kiting also in the summer season when other beaches are closed to kitesurfers, thanks to the exit channel. The spot area around Almeria has excellent conditions with Levante that even kiteboarders from Tarifa come here often (in the case of the west wind of 'Poniente' the closest spot is just a few minutes drive away in Retamar).
