The Kite School

Ometepe Island is one of the best spots to learn kitesurfing and wingfoiling in Nicaragua and Central America. Learn and improve your skills in this beautiful setting, fresh water lake, and amazing views of both volcanoes.


Located on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua, Kitesurf Ometepe offers beginner and advanced classes in kiteboarding - an exhilarating sport that combines the power of the wind and a kite to ride on the water. With its steady wind from November until April, volcanic sandy beach, and stunning nature, Ometepe island is a paradise for riders of all levels.


We are also the only school on the island to provide private wingfoil classes for beginners looking to try out this new sport.


For independent and advanced kiters and wingfoilers, we also offer gear rental.


We are an official F-ONE test center and use brand new F-ONE and Manera equipment for lessons and rentals. Come and test our gear!

School's Services and Amenities

Kitesurf Ometepe is affiliated with the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO), providing kitesurfers with services such as individual kitesurfing Lessons, group kitesurfing Lessons, kiteboarding gear rental, and equipment storage.

Kitesurf Ometepe is also the only school registered with Kitesurf Culture in the area of Santa Cruz (Nicaragua) to offer gear repair service, wing foil rentals, and wing foil lessons.
