The Kite School

Matos Tarifa is much more than a kitesurfing school, it's a small family, we are a team of professional instructors passionate about this incredible sport and more than that, passionate about teaching.
Passing on our passion to the next generation of kitesurfers is what drives us.
Matos Tarifa is an Iko and FAV certified kitesurfing school and we offer kitesurfing lessons and courses in French / English and Spanish.

We also teach the Tiki, a new category of kitesurf board developed here in collaboration with Paulownia Natural Growers.
The Tiki is a board made from paulownia wood that grows and is shaped in Valencia following a design developed by Mat (the school manager).

We teach kitesurfing on the beautiful beaches of Tarifa in Andalusia at the southern tip of Europe where the wind blows all year round.

School's Services and Amenities

Matos Tarifa is affiliated with the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) and the Spanish 'Federación Andaluza de Vela' (FAV), providing kitesurfers with services such as individual kitesurfing Lessons, group kitesurfing Lessons, kiteboarding gear rental, rescue service during the session, and organization of downwind tours.

Matos Tarifa is also the only school registered with Kitesurf Culture in the area of Tarifa (Spain) to offer bar and chill area in the school, and yoga lessons.
