Description of Lake Como - Colico (Italy)

The lake of Como in the north of Italy grants good kiting conditions from spring to autumn thanks to the thermal wind (Breva) and in summer to the occasional storms from the surrounding valleys to bring strong gusts down to the lake (Menaggino and Garzeno). Colico in the accessible public spot in the north of the lake and in summer is quite crowded but still grants good chances to have a great session. A lot of good local schools offer lift service to the lake center, where the wind is at its best.
