Description of Ponte Caffaro (Italy)
If you find yourself in the North of Italy during Italian spring, summer, and autumn and you see wind in the Po valley blowing from West, this is the spot to go to. It is quite close to Brescia and Verona and not as crowded as Garda or Como lakes since it is pretty unknown to the foreigners. Conditions are easy, but you need to be an independent kiter to ride here and be able to consistently upwind. A nice grass area has plenty of space to set the kite and friendly riders to help you launch the kite.

Go kiting on Italy's Alpine Lakes
"Hidden gems in the Italian Alps, these lakes are a great set for a great spring-summer session"
Dark - Clear
A wet suit in spring and autumn, occasionally shorty in summer, but is you are a chilly one, better stick with the full wet suit. Shoes can be useful, but not mandatory. (some soft weed branch on the bottom)
The entrance is quite narrow, but the water is shallow, so you can walk upwind to where there is more space.
On the spot there is a restaurant bar for sandwitches and drinks. This is a one day spot and for extra activities better head back to the big cities
How to get There
From the A4 exit at Castenedolo, drive up the mountains on SS45bis. When you reach Villanuova sul Clisi, where you want to follow for Trento/Madonna di Campiglio. After around 40 minutes of drive you will reach the lake, follow-through all the lake length, and turn right out of the main road as soon as the lake ends. The spot is easy to be found.
The access is public and plenty of space to set your kite on the grass in front of the water.
